STOP THE SHAME\DEPRESSION CYCLE

Depression can feel so overwhelming and cause you to be in a “holding pattern” in life where you are “stuck” being unable to move forward. It is so important to understand what is going on inside of you so that when in time you are able to move forward that you can make wise decisions, and choices As you begin to understand how shame is fueling your depression and identifying the “triggers” that fuel your shame: you will be more able to start the healing process.. Understanding what your need to be “perfect” is rooted in as well as “knowing your ‘true’ value will be essential in breaking the depression, and shame cycle.

HOW THE NEED TO BE “PERFECT” FUELS THE DEPRESSION/SHAME CYCLE

Depression has rooted in anger turned inward”. Most often this internal battle starts when we are children and we do not get the help and support needed then depression sets into the soul. Depression is fueled by shame; the belief that “I am a mistake” rather than “I made a mistake”. The belief that “I have to b perfect” or I will be rejected, abandoned, and unloved is rooted in shame. So that if you are struggling with being a “human doing rather than a human being” it is important to know shame is fueling this belief and keeps the depression./shame cycle going. No one is perfect as we all have issues and are a “work in progress” When as a child you get the message repeatedly that ‘you are not good enough” then this “lie from the pit” gets programmed into your brain and until that lie” is uprooted and the “truth” of who you truly are is planted the depression/shame cycle continues to fuel “perfection”

KNOWING YOUR “TRUE” VALUE BREAKS THE DEPRESSION/SHAME CYCLE

John 8 V 32:” You Shall Know The Truth And The Truth Shall Set You Free” In therapy with the right “therapist” you can learn what is actually “true” about who you are and reinterpret alot of what you believed to be true. You can start to love and nurture yourself with a spirit of “compassion” rather than a spirit of criticism and blaming. Learning how to be a “good parent” to yourself would be part of the healing process with the “right therapist”. See: “Ways To Recognize That You Don’t Value Yourself”
